Food at Bar Nero Caffé is a true showcase of Roman culinary artistry on a modest budget. Diners rave about the tender, flavorful Pasta Carbonara, praised as the best in Rome and available for an incredible 9 euros, offering rich, creamy textures and perfectly al dente pasta that dance on the palate. Another standout is the succulent steak with wine sauce—its tender juiciness and deep, savory flavors leave a lasting impression, earning enthusiastic commendations from those fortunate enough to taste it.

We stopped by for a quick bite and ordered the bruschetta mix, fries, and a beer. At first, we weren’t too sure about the place and even considered leaving — but we’re glad we stayed! The food turned out to be excellent, and the service was just as good. A pleasant surprise overall.

Popped in for 2 cappuccinos before going to the Vatican. We had already eaten (so no review for food) but the food in the chilled cabinet looked excellent. Great service, coffee and atmosphere, full of locals & reasonably priced, worth a visit.

Absolutely delicious! The best Pasta Carbonara I’ve had in Rome and for 9 euros! I would also recommend the Steak with wine sauce (I don’t remember the name) it was a 12/10 for me. Would recommend and definitely will be coming back

Great service. Very friendly waiter: Johnny, from Colombia. Prices are reasonable and near Vatican and Castel Sant’Angelo but away from big crowds.

I went there with my wife, my 2 month old baby and my parents in law. It was not planned and a bit out of the blue (because my baby was hungry) but it was a very good surprise the staff was really nice, easy to talk to and the coffee we had was very good ! (And I'm pretty sure, my baby liked the music since he fell asleep really quick)

The waiter invited us from the street. He was so funy, polite and the service was perfect. (I think it is fully for the tourists). The food was delicious and the price was also fine. We didn't need to wait so many for our food. They speak in english. This is close to the Castle Sant'Angelo and the Vatican.

Place is just fine for coffee but don't expect it to be quick, due to mediocre service. Though cornetto with berries is worth recommendating and taking away.

Got the Napoli Pizza, with an Aperol Soda and a Cappuccino right after a tour at the Vatican. Was really good food, but it only had the one washroom, and there was a line to get in. A little crowded but that is to be expected being close to the Vatican and the Basilica. Good if you're on the go and need something substantial to eat. Would recommend!
